“Storie a colazione” (Breakfast time stories) is the product-symbol of 2009 chosen to represent “The factory of dreams”, i.e. the partnership between Alessi and the Associazione Amici dei Bambini (AIBI, Friends of the Children Association) which began in 2006. Like Niki, over the past 3 years “The factory of dreams” has also been doing a tour of the world. This year the journey takes “The factory of dreams” once again in Colombia. The aim is to rekindle the spirit of the initiatives that were set up to help the children realise their dreams and to plan a future based on long-term objectives. It is a lengthy and at times arduous journey, to be sure, but it is one whose purpose is the fulfilment of the biggest dream of the abandoned children: one day to leave the orphanage and find a better life in the outside world.

The story tells of the adventures of friendship and courage of Niki, of love given and received, and of the possibility of achieving understanding through dialogue and kind gestures».
